My approach

My approach is psychodynamic which means the work we do together will explore your past as a way of understanding how you may be feeling now. Some of your past experiences may be clear in your memory whilst others may not be. Some of our most formative experiences happen in our early years and are often not clearly remembered and yet they can play a significant role in the way we experience the world, our relationships and ourselves.

Psychodynamic psychotherapy can therefore bring clarity and understanding to feelings you are encountering that seem to have no obvious cause, such as anxiety, depression, low self esteem, anger or emotional numbness, for example. Working collaboratively, we will build a clearer picture of your life experiences and the patterns in your behaviours, expectations and relationships.

With a greater understanding of yourself, comes the chance to connect and communicate more authentically with yourself and others.
